This Cookie Policy explains how Stolution, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar storage technologies on our website and mobile applications (collectively, the "Services"). Stolution does not use third-party advertising or marketing trackers. Product analytics is provided exclusively by PostHog, which we operate in line with our open-source, self-hostable infrastructure principle (ADR-003) and the analytics decision recorded in ADR-053.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognize your device and remember information about your visit, such as preferences and sign-in status.
We also use similar technologies, including:
- Local Storage / Session Storage: Data stored directly in your browser for session continuity and offline functionality.
- SDKs: Libraries embedded in our mobile apps that collect usage data on the same basis as our website analytics.
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
Strictly Necessary (Always On)
These cookies are required for the Services to function — for example, to keep you signed in, secure your session, and remember your consent preferences. They cannot be switched off.
Product Analytics (Opt-In)
We use PostHog to understand how people navigate Stolution so we can improve the product. PostHog runs as our self-hostable analytics backend; we do not share product analytics data with third-party advertising or marketing networks. Identifiers are scrubbed of personal data before being recorded (see our privacy program).

Marketing / Advertising
Stolution does not set marketing or advertising cookies on first-party domains. Embedded third-party content (for example, a social-media post we display verbatim) may set its own cookies under its own policy; we will surface those at the point of inclusion.
3. Managing Your Choices
You can accept or decline product analytics cookies via the cookie banner that appears on your first visit. Your preference is stored on your device and you can change it any time by clearing the "cookie_consent" key from your browser storage, after which the banner will re-appear.
Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies directly. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break sign-in and other core features.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
